After Cenveo Corporation acquired Cadmus Communications, they announced they were closing their 200,000 SF plant on 12.8± acres in Easton, Maryland. Due to the size of the property and its unique location near the heart of Easton, there was an opportunity to reposition the property despite a slow and challenging market
APPROACH
Created a strategic marketing plan for the property that rebranded the property into the Easton Shore Technology Park and recommended subdividing the space up into a mixture of economic units (office, educational, technology) for sale or lease.
RESULTS
After rebranding and repositioning the property, Junior Achievement approached the owners about developing a 25,000 SF Achievement Center on the property.
Once Junior Achievement signaled their interest, along with strong support from the local EDC, a local developer came in and put the property under contract for a mixed-use redevelopment.
The property sold to the local developer at a strong price for Cenveo and closed in July 2011.
