Our team was retained by the City of San Bernardino Economic Development Agency to provide complete development and project management services for a project that will redefine the character of downtown San Bernardino.

APPROACH

The project consisted of over 600,000 square feet of office space in two buildings that house the relocated California Department of Transportation (CALTRANS) District 8 Headquarters (14 stories) and a consolidation of 20 different State of California agencies (6 stories). Included in the development is a 1,500 car parking garage, an auditorium, retail facilities, and an extensive plaza.

RESULTS

Our team managed the entitlement phase and worked with the City and County to assure compliance with necessary changes to the City’s General Plan as well as the County’s traffic plan.

This included managing the procurement of all consultant services and managed the day-to-day activities of those consultants. The project was bid using the State of California Public Works Construction Regulations and came in under budget.
